Distinguish product properties from system performance
Steel thickness, seam height and coating are product properties. Water management, wind resistance, structural suitability and appearance depend on how components form an assembly. At project closeout, retain the final contract, product data, colour and coating, profile drawings, warranty, change orders and photographs. Record any approved substitution because two components that look similar may have different dimensions or requirements.
