1. Mandatory Working-At-Heights Certification

All ROOFNOW™ installers, labourers, and site supervisors maintain valid Working-At-Heights (WAH) certification approved by the Ontario Ministry of Labour. Training is refreshed regularly to ensure compliance with the latest standards.

2. Full Fall-Arrest Systems on Every Project

Each job site uses approved fall-arrest equipment, including lifelines, anchors, harnesses, and shock-absorbing lanyards. All gear is inspected before use and replaced immediately if wear is detected.

3. Safe Ladder & Access Procedures

Ladders are secured at both the top and bottom, set at safe working angles, and maintained to prevent slipping. Access points are monitored to keep homeowners and pedestrians safe.

4. Controlled Roofing Zones (CRZ) Setup

When roof layout makes fall-arrest impractical in specific zones, Controlled Roofing Zones are established using designated monitors, marked boundaries, and strict access rules.

5. Daily Job-Site Safety Briefings

Before work begins each day, the site supervisor conducts a safety briefing to review weather conditions, hazards, equipment checks, and key installation risks.

6. Weather-Sensitive Work Adjustments

Work is paused or rescheduled during high winds, lightning, heavy rain, ice conditions, or unsafe roof temperatures. No installation proceeds unless conditions meet minimum safety requirements.

7. Edge Protection & Hazard Identification

All edges, skylights, weak surfaces, roof penetrations, and deck irregularities are clearly identified to prevent slips, falls, or accidental damage during installation.

8. Equipment Inspection & Maintenance

Harnesses, anchors, ladders, roof brackets, PPE, and power tools are inspected daily. Faulty equipment is removed from service immediately and replaced.

9. Homeowner & Property Safety

Drop zones are marked around the property, debris is controlled, and all homeowners, pets, and visitors are kept a safe distance from active work zones.

10. Compliance with Ontario Ministry of Labour Requirements
